DNS

Description

DNS (Domain Name System) is an internet service that allows an entity on the internet to be identified by a domain name rather than the user having to remember the IP address of the entity. DNS is generally referred to as the 'phone book' to the internet as it translates an easy to read domain name into and IP address in order to identify the required server.
